Nature conservation and preservation in the Teverener Heide are taken care of just as the needs of the guests are. To ensure that the visitor can fully enjoy his encounter with nature, walkers and hikers can find signposted trails with picturesque routes. At the car parks, at which the tours start, information boards with maps provide orientation. Along the paths, information boards reveal interesting details about the habitats in the area.
Vantage points at selected locations provide a spectacle of open landscapes, heather marshes, and sandpit ponds. From spring 2009, the “Heidemann” - a flexible sculpture - will invite visitors to interactively investigate the subject Heath and to learn more about its special features in a playful way, additionally to the theme boards that are installed at eleven points around the area.
