The Teverener Heide is linked to cross border cycling routes and also to the signposted long-distance routes “Grünroute” (green route), “Zweiländerroute” (two-country route), and the “NiederRheinroute” (lower Rhine route). However due to the sandy ground the Teverener Heide itself is not well suited for bike tours. You can obtain a map of the cycle routes and the surrounding affiliated routes at the tourist centre in Heinsberg.
From spring 2009 you can obtain a detailed survey map of the Teverener Heide and the surrounding footpaths at the information centre in Gangelt and at Heinsberg district office (see contact).
If you want to discover all three areas of the Heidenaturpark – Teverener Heide, Rodebach-Roode Beek and Brunssummerheide – , you can walk or cycle the more than 30 km long Heidenaturpark route. In the Teverener Heide this route is marked with white strips on the signposts .
